Ozzy’s Return to the U.K. Will Be the Focus of a New Reality TV Show

If you’re of a certain age, you can very likely remember a time when Ozzy, Sharon, and the kids were a major part of American culture with their hit reality show The Osbournes. Seventeen years after that show’s cancellation, the “Prince of Darkness” and his kin are coming back to the airwaves in a new series aimed at Ozzy’s return to the U.K.

The show, titled Home to Roost, will follow the daily lives of Ozzy and his family as they leave Los Angeles and head back to Britain to live out the rest of their days in their Buckinghamshire estate.

According to a press release, the show will run as a 10-part series of 30 minute episodes for BBC One and iPlayer and will “be a genuine portrait, showing Sharon and Ozzy as they face up to illness and the challenges of getting older, but with the usual Osbourne eccentricities, humor, warmth and love.”

According to the BBC, the show will feature some major moments, including “everything from Sharon’s 70th birthday to Kelly’s soon-to-be-born baby, Ozzy’s tour, and of course the big move itself.”

The show’s directors Ben Wicks and Colin Barr called the show a “once in a lifetime opportunity.”

“Twenty years ago, they shaped television for all of us – now they’re coming home at a different stage in their lives but with the promise of the same laughter, love and tears. We can’t wait to work with them and to share it with BBC One viewers in 2023.”

Something tells me there won’t be too many ridiculous fights with neighbors in this show, I guess. I still think they shoulda named it something like “Queen Mum, I’m Comin’ Home” or something.

At least this is some happy news for the Ozzman. Earlier this week, news came out that Ozzy wished that God would let him die in his sleep due to the excruciating amount of pain he was dealing with from a spinal injury.

Regardless, it’s amazing this is even happening, given how busy Ozzy must be these days. His new album Patient Number 9 is coming out in a week and he’s likely got a lot of press to do for that. Not to mention the tour he’s got booked throughout Europe next year to support the new release. If you want to catch him on one of those dates, check the list below.
